Big Red Recap:
The Big Red freshman boys basketball team and JV and Varsity girls basketball teams all weathered the cold weather on Thursday and got their games in against the Mapleton Mounties. The freshman boys traveled to Mapleton and came away with their first victory of the season as they took down the Mounties. They will next be in action next Wednesday at New London.
The JV and Varsity girls hosted Mapleton and came away with a split as the JV also picked up their first win of the season over the Mounties before the varsity lost. A tough 1st quarter doomed the Lady Big Red as they could not recover and fell to the Mounties by a score of 56-29. Elementary News!
Mrs. Roblin recently presented a fun opportunity to the third graders. After doing some research on the Richland County Humane Society website, the students chose their favorite cat or dog. They then pretended to be their animals and wrote persuasive paragraphs, trying to convince prospective families to adopt them for Christmas. These will be mailed to the Humane Society to be posted by the animal's pens. Here are some samples from Miss Johnson's and Miss Rader's class. Be on the lookout for Mr. Garrett's and Mrs. Terry's samples soon! 🤩
