Big Red Recap: The JV and Varsity boys basketball teams hosted Bucyrus last night in a non-conference matchup. Both games were close low scoring affairs that went down to the wire. The JV team came back from an early deficit to win in overtime by a score of 43-39. The Varsity game was then a low scoring defensive battle as both teams struggled on offense from both the field and free throw line. The game never saw more than a 5 point advantage from either team as the Big Red were able to hang on for a 41-38 win over the Redman. The Big Red improve to 5-5 overall on the season and will be back in action on Friday at St. Paul.

Athletic News! Attention Track Athletes! There will be a short meeting in Coach Anderson's room tomorrow, Thursday 1/9 for anyone interested in or planning on running track this spring right at the beginning of the lunch period at 12:20. Athletic News! Today's MS girls basketball game at home vs Monroeville has been cancelled due to low numbers, illness, and injuries. There is no decision on rescheduling the game at this time. The MS girls will now practice from 3:15-4:15 today in the elementary gym.

Athletic News! Last night's cancelled freshman boys basketball game at home against Western Reserve has been rescheduled for Monday 1/27 at 5pm. This will be played before the JV/Varsity girls game against Western Reserve that is scheduled for that night. We will adjust the start time of the JV girls game back to 6:30pm. It will be a two quarter game followed by Varsity.

PHS News! SENIORS: The Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging launched its 2025 Scholarship Program to support education in aging and disability services. Foundation board will award three scholarships to people committed to positively impacting older adults and those with disabilities, according to a news release. The program offers one $2,000 scholarship for a student attending a four-year university, and two $1,000 scholarships for students at two-year colleges or pursuing certifications. Additionally, one $1,000 scholarship is available for retirees, staff members or their children and grandchildren associated with the Area Agency on Aging.
