Elementary News: Showcase Update!
The 4th grade/MC class showcase is now complete with the teacher/staff bucket lists and dedication to our retirees this year. Thank you Mrs. McPeek for your many years of service and dedication to our students! Thank you also to Mrs. Beckner and Mrs. Thompson who retired earlier in the school year. The art work on display is courtesy of our 4th graders, thanks to Mrs. Risner.

MOESC Student Artwork on Display at Mansfield Richland County Public Library
"Mansfield, OH (May 6, 2025) – Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center (MOESC) is pleased to announce the inclusion of student artwork at an art exhibition sponsored by the Mansfield Public Art Commission (MPAC) and the Mansfield Richland County Public Library (MRCPL) main branch.
This year's top award winners at last month’s Artapolooza, Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center's annual student art show, were invited by MPAC to exhibit their winning artwork at The Mayor's Show: Rising Artists of Mid-Ohio. Fourteen local school districts are represented in this exhibit including Bucyrus City Schools, Clear Fork Valley Local Schools, Crestview Local Schools, Galion City Schools, GOAL Digital Academy, Highland Local Schools, Lexington Local Schools, Lucas Local Schools, Madison Local Schools, Mansfield City Schools, Mansfield Christian School, Mt. Gilead Local Schools, Northmor Local Schools and Plymouth-Shiloh Local Schools."

Spring sports in Ohio punching us all right in the mouth here late in the season.... Today's HS track and field invite at Buckeye Central has been cancelled due to current field conditions and the forecast for more rain this afternoon.

Mental health awareness plays a crucial role in reducing stigma, encouraging early intervention and fostering empathy and understanding. By normalizing conversations around mental health, it nurtures a more compassionate society where individuals feel empowered to seek help, leading to improved mental wellbeing. Please join in and help reduce the stigma towards mental health.
Monday 5/12- Wear green to symbolize renewal, growth and hope.
Tuesday 5/13- Wear blue to symbolize calmness and healing.
Wednesday 5/14- Wear yellow to symbolize new beginnings and strength.
Thursday 5/15- Wear purple to symbolize creativity and hopefulness.
Friday 5/16- Wear red to symbolize positive energy, power and passion.


Athletic News!
Below is the current plan of attack for rescheduling all baseball and softball games with Crestview after last night's games were washed out and all of tonight's games have been cancelled as well due to current field conditions and more rain coming this afternoon.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) 5/7 - All games will be played at Crestview - Varsity baseball and softball at 5pm followed by JV softball.
Saturday 5/10 - All games at Plymouth - Varsity baseball and softball at 10am - Full JV softball game at 12pm

Menu Change for Elementary!
There will be a change to the elementary lunch menu on Thursday. Lunch will be Chicken pot pie, a biscuit, sweet potatoes, and peaches. Only the elementary schools menu will be changing. Thank you!

Attached you will find the bracket for the Division 7 Sectional/District Tournament that will be hosted by Buckeye Central. The Lady Big Red earned the 4th seed and will travel to take on 3rd seeded Seneca East in sectional finals at Seneca East on Thursday 5/15 at 5pm. With a win over Seneca East they would advance to the district tournament at Buckeye Central the following week.

Today's JV softball game at home with Crestview has been cancelled due to field conditions. JV will now travel to Crestview with the varsity and will play a shortened game following the varsity game. Varsity game will begin at 5pm.
