Parents,
As we start entering the cooler months I want you to be aware of the different programs that are available for those who meet income guidelines. These resources will benefit those with gas and electricity for heating purposes. Below is how you can create an account and submit applications.
Utility Assistance- OHID.ohio.gov
You will Create a new account. Setting up a Username and Password
You will then be sent to a dashboard where you can add apps to your account.
You will search for the ENERGY ASSISTANCE PORTAL. Add this to your Apps.
Once Added you will click on this and it will take you to a brief overview page. You will go down to the section that says APPLY FOR AID. You will fill in all parts of this document. You will be required to submit forms requested. Birth certificates for everyone in home, Pay stubs, current utility, rent and home expenses. You will mark whether you would like to apply for emergency assistance, Heap or Pip. This is for electric/ gas or both. If you need assistance with any of this please reach out and I can do this with you at the school.
You will then submit the document for review. You can check the status of this by going back into the app. Instead of going to apply for aid you will go to view my applications. You will also be contacted via phone and email with any new updates.
For more information, please contact Ashley Bowman at abowman@plymouthk12.org

Big Red Weekend Recap:
The Big Red football team traveled to Crestview on Friday night to battle the Cougars in Firelands Conference action. It was a rough night for the Big Red as they fell to the Cougars by a 42-0 final score. After a rough 1st quarter and the Cougars jumping out to a quick 14-0 lead the Big Red dug in and battled and kept the score at 14-0 for most of the 2nd quarter before the Cougars would add a late TD to make the score 21-0 at the half. They would extend that lead throughout the 2nd half en route to the 42-0 win as the Big Red fall to 0-6 on the season and 0-3 in conference play. They will be back in action on Friday this week at New London.
The Cross Country teams were in action on Saturday morning at the Buckeye Central Invite. An early look at a youth Boys Basketball opportunity
- PLEASE read this information for Plymouth Youth Boys Basketball Info
Attention all elementary and 6th grade parents:
The Plymouth Boys Basketball Coaching staff will be running basketball developmental clinics for our elementary and middle school boys in grades Kindergarten through 6th grade in the high school gym on the following SUNDAYS
November 9, 16, 23, 30
December 7, 14, 21, 28
January 11, 18, 25
February 1, 8
Grade K-3 will be from 2:00-3:00
Grades 4-6 will be from 3:15-4:15
There is no cost to participate. You can come to one, two or all of them. There is no registration form. Just show up! Basketballs will be provided. Please do not bring one.
We will be working on basketball fundamentals including dribbling and ball handling, as well as learning how to play the game. You do not need anything special other than gym shoes and a water bottle. Any youth player attending any of our clinics will be invited into the varsity locker room for all home games for the pregame talk, halftime adjustments and end of game remarks. Come see what we do and why we do it! Become a part of the Big Red basketball program!
This is a great opportunity to not only learn basketball and work on your skills, but at the same time, learn the Plymouth Big Red Basketball culture! It’s also gives you an opportunity to meet our players who might stop by, and the coaches and have some fun.
I also have information for youth leagues in the area. If you are interested in putting a team in a league, contact me. There are 3 that I am aware of. Mid-Ohio, Mansfield Rec and Ashland Youth. Costs range from $300 per team for 14 games to $500 per team for 10 games.
I will be scheduling a meeting for youth parents to discuss the options and give you any additional information you would like concerning any of our boys basketball programs. I will schedule this in mid October. Deadlines for the leagues is November 1st.
Please share this post.
Let’s go! This season will be epic! Come along for the ride!
I hope to see you on the court!
