Big Red Recap:
It was a pretty busy weekend for the Big Red with several of our spring teams in action at least once over the weekend. The baseball team got the weekend started on Friday night as they traveled to Mohawk to take on the state ranked Warriors in an early season non-conference matchup and lost a high scoring battle by a score of 14-10. The loss drops the Big Red to 3-3 overall on the season as they will get back into conference play today traveling to Monroeville.
The Lady Big Red softball team competed in the annual MVD tournament over the weekend but saw Friday night's games get cancelled due to weather and field conditions. They played two games on Saturday taking on Norwayne and Colonel Crawford and struggled to get things going offensively in both games falling to the Bobcats 14-0 and then the Eagles 11-1. The losses drop them to 3-4 overall on the season as they will also get back into league play tonight at Monroeville.
